When Martin Cone started scrolling through Greene Publishing's online newsletter during the week of Thanksgiving, he was shocked to find a photograph of his parents and siblings staring back at him. “That's my family,” Cone said, in disbelief. Fortunately, a family in Taylor County discovered the album in their home and turned it over to the newspaper in the hopes of finding a family member.
Cone, who now lives in Jacksonville, was elated with the discovery. “My brother had recently mentioned to me that he was trying to locate a missing photo album,” said Cone, who made the drive to Madison on Thursday, Dec. 2, to retrieve the missing album. The entire incident is a bit of a Christmas miracle for the Cone family. “I'll take this home and enjoy some sweet memories,” said an exuberant Cone.
