On Tuesday, Feb. 7, the Madison County High School Cowboys varsity basketball team advanced to the district championship game by defeating the Tigers from Jefferson County Middle/High School. The Cowboys won the game in dominating fashion with a final score of 66-29.
Josiah Mitchell had yet another stellar performance, chalking up another double-double, with 24 points, 13 rebounds, and three blocked shots on the evening. Travis Jay also scored in double figures with 11 points. Dilan Lawson had nine points and two steals. Tre Adams scored eight points and grabbed 11 rebounds for the Cowboys.
