Cowboys compete in District Championship

Rick Patrick  rick@greenepublishing.com On Thursday, Feb. 8, the Madison County High School (MCHS) Cowboys varsity basketball team met the Buccaneers of Branford High School, in the semi-final game of the Class 1A District Five Basketball Tournament. The Cowboys were able to edge the Bucs, 49-46. The Cowboys built a 14-8 lead in the first quarter, but the Bucs doubled up on the Cowboys during the second quarter to take a 26-23 lead into halftime.
