On Wednesday, Sept. 29, the Madison County High School (MCHS) Cowgirls hosted the Suwannee High School Lady Bulldogs in volleyball action. The evening began with a match between the two junior varsity teams. The Lady Bulldogs turned out to be the dominant team, defeating the Cowgirls, 2-0, with set scores of 14-25 and 19-25.
In the varsity match, the competition was stiff, but, in the end, it was the Lady Bulldogs on top with a score of 3-1. The set scores for the varsity match were: 22-25, 22-25, 25-21 and 18-25.
The Cowgirls will be back on their home court on Thursday, Oct 7, for a match with the Lady Warriors of Aucilla Christian Academy. It will be Senior Night for the Cowgirls. The match is set to start at 6 p.m., in the MCHS gymnasium.
