Cowgirls fall to Lady Hornets

On Thursday, Sept. 2, the Madison County High School (MCHS) Cowgirls faced off against the Lafayette High School Lady Hornets in volleyball action at the MCHS gym. Both the junior varsity and varsity teams played.
In the junior varsity match, it was the Lady Hornets who won the match in two straight sets, 25-20 and 25-10. After the junior varsity match, the varsity teams took the court. The Cowgirls won the closely-contested first set with a 29-27 score. Then the Lady Hornets took the next three sets: 25-12, 25-22 and 25-7.
The Cowgirls (0-4) will be back on their home court on Thursday, Sept. 9, when they take on the Lady Trojans of Hamilton County High School. The junior varsity match begins at 5:45 p.m., followed by the varsity match at approximately 6:45 p.m.
