On Thursday, May 18, the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) and the Madison County Sheriff's Office (MCSO) responded to what appeared to a be a vehicular-related incident in Greenville that resulted in the death of a child. After months of investigation, the case was presented to a grand jury on Monday, Nov. 13 and the jury indicted Kelvin Mutch, 24 of Greenville, for the aggravated manslaughter of a child.
On Monday, Nov. 13, Mutch was arrested and charged with aggravated manslaughter of a child without further incident. The investigation is pending trial and Mutch remains in the Madison County Jail under a $500,000 bond.
