Elder Perry Lee Jones, Sr.: Contributor
Cross Road Missionary Baptist Church welcomes everyone to a meet and greet, scheduled for Sunday, April 24, beginning at 2 p.m. Elder Perry Lee Jones, Sr. was born on November 27, 1962, in Clay County, Georgia. After residing in Atlanta, Ga. for several years, he moved to Greensboro, Fla., attending school in Gadsden County, where he met the love of his life, Brenda Battle. They eventually married and now have four children and 10 grandchildren. Jones was employed by Leon County Public Works and has been preaching the gospel since 1978. He earned his doctorate's degree from Smith Christian University, in Miami. Fla. He has served as the interim pastor for Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, in Fort Gaines, Ga. and Union Branch Missionary Baptist Church, in Tallahassee, Fla.
At the beginning of 2022, the Lord called Jones to Cross Road Missionary Baptist Church, in Greenville, where he is currently serving. To Madison County residents, Jones says, “Hello, it's nice to be in your beautiful communities. I am very grateful to meet new pastors, families and friends from all walks of life. It's good to be in your city. May God's blessing be upon us all, in Jesus' name.” The church is located at 5291 SW Sampala Lake Rd., in Greenville.
