Dakota Patrick Hagan, 18, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 5, 2022, in Tallahassee, Fla. He was born Jan. 7, 2004, in Tallahassee, Fla., and was the son of Morgan Jeffery and Pamela Ann (Shields) Harris. He was a lifelong resident of Monticello and enjoyed playing football, baseball, and basketball. He had many hobbies, including hunting, fishing, boating, and skiing. Dakota attended Wacissa Christian Church and Central Baptist Church, where he was active in youth groups.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his biological mother, Jasmine Land Hagan (Lonnie); girlfriend, Emma Conrad; grandmothers, Annette L. “Nan” Helman and Sonya Morris (Mike); uncles, Greg Shields (Melanie) and Van Shields (Beth); aunt, Kailee Morris Jenkins (Jantz); great uncle, Fred Lee (Linda); great-granduncle and aunt, Claude and Carleen Thigpen; great-grandparents, Sonny and Lillian Harris and numerous cousins.
There will be a graveside visitation at Oakfield Cemetery in Monticello, Fla., on Thursday, Feb. 10, at 1 p.m. and a graveside service at 2 p.m. Arrangements are by Beggs Funeral Home, located at 485 E. Dogwood St., in Monticello, Fla.
