Mrs. Debra Jean Willis, age 57, of Weston Fla., passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2020 at Phoebe Sumter Medical Center. Mrs. Willis was born April 1, 1952 in Madison, Fla. She was of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Willis loved dancing, fishing and was a great cook. She had a joy for baking cakes especially for her family, who is loved more than anything. She was the former youth director at Preston Baptist.
A Funeral service was held on Friday, March 13, at 10 a.m. at Preston Baptist Church, located at 6677 Cass Street Preston, Ga., with Rev. Raymond Smith officiating. Visitation was held an hour prior to service. Internment followed at Pine Grove Baptist Church, 4084 Rocky Ford Rd Madison, Fla. Pallbearers included Jeremy Williams, T.J Peavy, Christopher Willis, Chris Jones, Josh Agnere and Michael Latin.
Survivors include husband, Cary Willis of Weston; one son, Christopher (Kimberly) Willis of Columbus; three daughters: Kimberly (Jeremy) Williams of Ellerslie, Casey Willis of Cuthbert and Jayla Willis of Weston; mother, Jean Mills of Meigs; two brothers: Dewey "Buddy"(Pam) Jones of Madison, Fla. and John (Angie) Jones of Valdosta Ga.; one sister, Jennifer Blair of Lake Butler, Fla. and one grandson, Wren Willis of Columbus.
Mrs. Willis was preceded in death by her father Dewey Jones Sr.
