Earthly Bed of Slumber: High Antioch A.M.E. Church Cemetery, Cherry Lake.
Having accepted Christ in her early life, Deloise became an active member of High Antioch A.M.E. Church in Cherry Lake, Fla. She willingly dedicated herself to be of service as an usher, culinary staff member, custodian and any other capacity she was needed.
Deloise was taught early in life to be obedient, humble and to let her word be her bond. Whatever she consented to do, she honored her commitment without reminders or prodding. She was a hard worker who always gave her best effort, and this was true for all areas of her life – home, church and employment.
One of the greatest joys in her life was spending quality time with her family. During holidays and any other occasions the multiple generations would gather to enjoy fellowship, food, fun and to create memories to pass along for future generations. Deloise was known to "go the extra mile" to make her grandchildren, nieces, and nephews feel extra special, even if she had to use tough love to teach them valuable life lessons. She did this until she answered the Master when her name was called on Friday, Jan. 1, 2021.
Just as Deloise loved her family and life itself, she also enjoyed being employed. During her career, she was hired to work at the Cherry Lake Peach Orchard, Metal Products (auto parts), Gold Kist chicken processing plant, and lastly, with Elder Care. She especially enjoyed working with the elderly. The love, care and patience she gave her clients will be difficult to replace.
In addition to her busy daily routine, Deloise managed to use her down time for cooking specialty dishes, knitting, doing puzzles, dancing, growing plants and flowers and helping to raise her grandchildren.
Forever cherishing her love and legacy are her daughters: Tokeythia Mcknight, of Pinetta, Latoya (Albert, Jr.) Hodge, of Madison, Monique Pryor, of Moultrie, Ga. and Destani Pryor, of Lake City; son, Kenny Pryor, of Pinetta; mother, Birda Dasher Williams; sisters: Emma Pickett, of Greenville, Marian (Calvin) Johnson, of Live Oak, Janice (Samuel) Damanze, of Tampa and Sandra (Edward) Rowe, of Madison; brother, Thomas (Bernice) Williams, of Madison; special friend, Ulysee Johnson; 19 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a host of sorrowing relatives and loving friends.
Deloise was preceded in death by her husband of 32 years, Kenneth Pryor; father, George Williams, Sr.; sister, Susan Williams; and brothers: George Williams, Jr., Leroy Williams and Joe Williams.
Final Care and compassionate services are being provided to the Williams-Pryor Family, with love, care and uncompromising dignity by Tillman Funeral Home of Madison, ~A Hall-Moore Provider~.
