Diana (Dina) James, age 52, passed away peacefully at her home in Monticello, Fla. on Monday, Jan. 4, 2021.
Born August 19, 1968, Dina was the daughter of John and Gale Dickert. She grew up in Perry, Fla. and was a member of the St. James Episcopal Church. She graduated from Aucilla Christian Academy and attended North Florida Community College.
Survivors include her husband of 26 years, Mike James; daughters: Danielle Merritt (Clyde) and Heather James; granddaughters: Emma and Caroline Merritt, of Monticello; her parents, John and Gale Dickert; sister, Lisa Flournoy (Jim); and nephews: Jim and John Flournoy, of Madison. She was predeceased in death by her brother, Douglas Prado Dickert.
A graveside celebration of Dina's life will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 6 at 11 a.m. with Bro. Daryl Adams officiating at Oakfield Cemetery, 2462 Waukeenah Hwy., Monticello, Fla. The family kindly requests masks be worn.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Central Baptist Church, P.O. Box 163, Monticello, Fla. 32345 or, to Big Bend Hospice. Beggs Funeral Home, Monticello Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
