Diane Ragans Wells, 75, of Madison, Fla. died Saturday, Nov. 28, 2020 at South Georgia Medical Center. She was born in Madison on October 22, 1945 to the late Cecil Edward and Katie Albritton Ragans and had lived most of her life in Madison. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Madison and had worked as a registered nurse with Tallahassee Memorial Hospital.
Survivors include her daughter, Teresa (Tommy) Johnson, of Valdosta, Ga.; son, Andy (Joyce) Wells, of Madison, Fla.; her grandchildren: Luke Johnson, Emily (Zane) Sirmans, Chase Johnson, Katie Wells, Drake Wells, Memori (Chad) McGriff and Darren (Reva) Bass; great-grandchildren: Matthew Bass, Daniel Bass, Ashlynne Hendrix, Emma Greene and Addison McGriff; two sisters: Patricia (Gordie) Bass and Barbara Johnson; three brothers: W. C. (Mary) Ragans, Spessard "Sputter" (Linda) Ragans, Ronnie (Marilyn) Ragans, all of Madison, Fla.; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles A. Wells; a brother, Ray Ragans; and two sisters: Helen Phillips and Yvonne Barrs.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 1, in the chapel of Beggs Funeral Home in Madison, Fla. with Rev. Greg Ragans officiating. Burial followed in the Oakridge Cemetery in Madison. The family received friends on Monday, Nov. 30 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Beggs Funeral Home.
