Mystery, dinner and fun are back on the menu at the Main Street Playhouse in Madison as the RATT pact takes the stage once again for their annual murder mystery dinner theatre. Keeping in the spirit of Agatha Christie, this year’s show A Murder Has Been Renounced will keep audience members guessing, and laughing, until the very end. Show dates are November 2, 3, and 4 with the Thursday performance offering a dessert-only option.
Written by Lee Mueller and performed by local talent, audience members will be entertained by the zany characters as they discover the demise of one of their own. The setting offers a dark and stormy night where cell service is nill, roads are washed out, and someone is found murdered. Suspicion abounds as each character suspects the others in this crazy “who-dunnit”. As one character notes, “it’s like stepping into a live game of Clue!” Audience members will have a chance to help solve the mystery and take home a prize.
Some of your RATT pact faves are back to provide a delightful evening of live theatre. Judie Baldwin plays the fun-loving Miss Heinspiele, who may or may not be of German descent; Patrick Loveless plays the bumbling would-be, or possibly is, detective; Dawn Renner portrays Mrs. Ludos, the very proper, no-nonsense lady of the estate; Darla Sullivan takes on the role of the sarcastic French maid Deidra; Kiley Thompson, aka Darla, arrives in a nurse uniform, but is she really a nurse?; Jessica Webb is the airy, but lovable, Miss Mandacio; and Justin Webb rounds out the cast as the boisterous Captain Trucage who could also pass as a used-car salesman.
Adding to the delight of the evening will be a delicious dessert served during Thursday’s performance and dinner on Friday and Saturday. The dessert show on Nov. 2 begins at 7:30 p.m., and tickets are $15. Dinner will be served on Nov. 3 and 4 at 6:30 p.m., and dinner tickets are $25. Guests may choose between grilled chicken, shrimp, or a veggie plate. Reservations are required for each performance and can be made online at www.MainStreetMadisonFL.com, by calling (850) 464-4010, or by stopping by A Main Street Realty at 186 SW Range Ave.
