On Saturday, Feb. 4, between the hours of 7:30 a.m. – 9 a.m., cars lined both sides of the Valdosta Highway through the town of Pinetta as hundreds of locals came to support the ribbon cutting of the Pinetta Dollar General.

Miranda Washington (left) and Demetra Edwards were a few of the many locals who flooded the doors at Dollar General’s grand opening. The first 50 customers received a $10 Dollar General gift certificate and a Dollar General goodie bag. Washington and Edwards were two of the 50 customers that received these gifts.
The official ribbon cutting started at 8 a.m. as the Dollar General District Manager Tim Ryan thanked the crowd for attending this milestone event for Pinetta. Once the ribbon was cut, the doors were opened to customers, and the first 50 customers who entered received a $10 Dollar General gift card. Goodie bags were also handed out to the first 200 customers to enter the store. Along with gift cards and goodie bags, cake, honey buns, milk and coffee were all complimentary to Dollar General customers.
Be sure to make your way out to Dollar General, Pinetta’s newest establishment. There, Laurel Maitlen, Store Manager; Russell Williams, Assistant Store Manager, and other members of the Dollar General team will greet you.
