Donna Sullivan Bloomstine tragically passed away in an automobile accident on Sunday, May 29.
Donna was born on March 20, 1959, to Doyle (D.W.) and Grace Owens in Hollywood, Fla. The Owens’ moved their family to Lake City, Fla., where Donna graduated from Columbia County High School, in 1977. Donna was engaged to Wesley M. Sullivan of Madison, and they were married Sept. 30, 1977. Wesley and Donna raised their three children, Carla, Kelly and Wesley in Lee, Fla. Donna was a devout Jehovah’s Witness and had unwavering faith.
Donna attended North Florida Junior College in the early 90’s, where she studied diligently while raising a family, to become a Licensed Practical Nurse. She served the community working at Madison County Memorial Hospital for many years. Donna also provided home health services, worked at Lake Park of Madison, and as of late, enjoyed providing care to the residents at Madison Health and Rehabilitation Center. Donna was known by her patients and residents for her kindness, loving demeanor and dedication to their care.
After tragically losing Wesley, her husband of 27 years, in 2004, Donna poured her heart into her family, spending her time helping care for her father and enjoying her grandchildren.
Donna met Lee Bloomstine in 2015, and they were married on Feb. 25, 2016. Donna and Lee settled in Pinetta, Fla., where Donna was able to work at her favorite job, being Nana to Kallee and Olivia Wetherington and Auburne, Kaleb, Erica, Chase and Emma Mobley. Donna also held very dear her great nieces and nephews that lived nearby, Country and Gracie Carver, and Sadie and Jonah Sullivan.
Donna was blessed with a large extended family and she leaves behind her loving husband, Lee Bloomstine; children: Carla Mobley, Kelly (Luke) Wetherington and Wesley Sullivan; sisters: Vicki (LeGrand) Bloomstine, Rhonda (Richard) Weimer and Sherri Dansby; step-mother, Georgia Owens; many brothers and sisters in law, nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents, D.W and Grace Owens and her first husband, Wesley M. Sullivan.
