Dorothy Frazier Francis Jones, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, March 6, 2018, after 78 wonderful years on earth with family, friends and other loved ones. Dorothy was born on June 6, 1941, to Albert and Stella Frazier, of Madison, Fla. She attended the Madison County Public School System.
She was converted at an early age and joined Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church. Later in life, she joined Mt. Nebo A.M.E. Church, and then Madison Seventh Day Adventist Church, in Madison, Fla. She was married to Hubert Francis until his passing on Aug. 23, 2007. Later in life, she met and married Ferdiand Jones.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her mother and father, and her first husband, Hubert Francis.
Dorothy leaves to cherish her memories, her husband, Ferdiand Jones; her sisters-in-law: Madeline Moris, Fern Batson and Patricia Myles; four close friends: Mary Collins, Helen Williams, Eva Stevens and Shirley Souter; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A homegoing service for Dorothy was held on Friday, March 16, 2018, at 11 a.m., at the Cooks & Cooper Chapel. During the service, a welcome, invocation, sermonette and benediction was given by Elder Straub. Psalms 23:1-4 was read by Sister Cislyn Brown, as well as a biographical sketch. The service was graced with the hymns, "I Shall See The King" and "Sweet By and By," along with the reading of "The Fallen Limb." Interment was held at Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
Family and friends served as pallbearers and took care of floral arrangements. Caring of the family and professional services were rendered by Cooks & Cooper Funeral Home of Madison. The family of Dorothy Francis Jones wishes to express their sincere thanks and heartfelt gratitude for the many acts of kindness shown during this time of bereavement.
