Dorothy L. Hubble, 84, passed away on May 5, 2020 at Lake Park Nursing Home of Madison. Dorothy was born April 15, 1936 in Greenville, Fla. to Johnny Rufus Eddins and Mattie Stacey Eddins.
Dorothy was of the Baptist faith and was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Madison, Fla. She began her career by working for Winn Dixie for over 30 years, and retired from Comcast after 18 years.
Mrs. Hubble was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years Jack Hubble; her parents: Johnny Rufus and Mattie Eddins; her twin brothers: Alvin and Calvin Eddins; five sisters: Annie Bell Shackleford, Inez Hall, Elizabeth Eddins, Iva Lee Davis and Geneva Massey; and one special niece, Martha Crafton.
She is survived by her dedicated caregiver sister in-law, Shirley Eddins; two sisters: Johnnie Kinard of Quincy, Fla. and Evelyn Cribbs of Lake City, Fla.; a special niece, whom she helped raise, Mrs. Linda Hutto Roady (Christopher, Sr.); a very special nephew, Mark Land; as well as a host of nieces and nephews. She was also survived by her special friends: Carolyn Coody, Dallas Collinsworth and Diane Wells.
Private Graveside Services will be held on Friday, May 8, 2020 at Evergreen Cemetery with Bro. Steve McHargue and Rev. Greg Ragans officiating. All arrangements are under the direction of Burns Funeral Home of Madison.
