Carin Daniels, with Schoelles and Associates has renewed a Down Home Days favorite, the Youth Art Contest. Youngsters age five through 18 were encouraged to submit their best original work. The artwork was displayed in the office of Scholles and Associates, located at 439 SW Range Ave., in Madison. The artwork was divided into three age categories for the competition. In each age category, first place was awarded $30, second place won $20 and third place received $10. The age categories were five through eight years of age, nine through 13 years of age and 14 through 18 years of age.
In the five through eight year old category, first place went to Lilyan Wheeler, second place went to Easton Rye and third place went to Macy Head.
In the nine through 13 age category, first place went to Judah Paulk, second place went to Leighton Surles and third place went to Alexa McGuire.
In the 14 through 18 age category, Melana Webb was the sole winner.
In addition to being displayed at Schoelles and Associates, the winning art pieces will also be featured in the Madison County Chamber of Commerce newsletter and other promotional materials. “Congratulations to all the Down Home Days Youth Art Contest winners,” said Daniels.
