Eastern equine encephalitis confirmed in Madison County

Rick Patrick  rick@greenepublishing.com According to the equimanagement.com web site, a case of the mosquito-borne virus known as Eastern equine encephalitis (EEE) has been confirmed in Madison County. The web site stated that a two-year-old quarter horse stallion tested positive in late June after the horse developed cellulitis and neurological signs on Thursday, June 20.
