Mr. Edward Jackson Hollingsworth, Sr., age 85, died on Monday, Feb. 20, 2017 at South Georgia Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, Feb. 24 at 10 a.m. at Grace Presbyterian Church, with burial at Mt. Horeb Cemetery. Visitation was held on Thursday. Feb. 23 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Beggs Funeral Home Madison Chapel.
He was born in Pinetta where he was a life-long resident. He worked for 39 years with O-I Paper Mill in Clyattville and was an Army Veteran in the Korean War. He was a member of Sons of Confederate Veterans Chapter #21 and was an Emeritus Elder in Grace Presbyterian Church where he was a member. He loved his family very much.
He is survived by his wife, Charlotte Hollingsworth of Pinetta; two sons, Charles Hollingsworth (Sheri) and Richard Hollingsworth (Elizabeth) both of Pinetta; three sisters: Johnnie Mae Hollingsworth of Tallahassee, Linda Sapp (Wayne) of Pinetta and Faye Hardee of Lynn Haven; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son, Edward Hollingsworth Jr.
