Elizabeth Pickenpaugh “Liz” Bishop, 62, passed away on Aug. 6, 2021, in Tallahassee, Fla. Mrs. Bishop was born on April 6, 1959, in Marianna, Fla. to the late Bill and Dorothy Pickenpaugh of Monticello, Fla.
Mrs. Bishop and her husband, Benjamin D. “Benny” Bishop, were married 41 years and built their life together at Bishop Farms in Aucilla. She is survived by her husband; daughter, Mary Beth (Brett) Mueller, of Fort Leavenworth, Kan.; two sons, Glen (Brittany) Bishop, of Monticello and Matt Bishop, of Aucilla; five grandchildren: Benjamin and Wesley Bishop; and Caroline, William and Claire Mueller. Mrs. Bishop is also survived by two brothers and two sisters; as well as numerous relatives and friends.
Mrs. Bishop attended Central Baptist Church in Aucilla. She was known for her hospitality, delicious desserts and love of Jack Russell terriers and Southern Gospel music. Mrs. Bishop was devoted to her family and they to her: “Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her.” Proverbs 31:28 KJV
A graveside service was held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 9, at the Bishop Family Cemetery in Aucilla for any family and friends who wished to attend.
