Mrs. Essie Mae Fudge, 93, of Madison, Fl., witnessed her sunset on Monday, April 3, 2017 at Madison County Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Fudge was born on August 16, 1923 in Madison, Fl. to Mr. and Mrs. Edd and Rosetta Bellamy. She was converted to Christ at an early age and was a member of New Mt. Zion where she faithfully attended until her years grew old. Mrs. Fudge also did farm work.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Henry Fudge; and seven children: Henry Lee Fudge Jr., Jimmy Fudge, Polly Mae Fudge, John W. Fudge, Clinton Fudge, Shelly Fudge, and Mamie Lou Fudge. She is survived by two sons, Eddie Fudge (Linda) and Donnie Fudge; one daughter, Wanda Fudge Medler (Eugene); one brother, Jessie Bellamy (Sally) of Orlando, Fl.; 16 grandchildren; as well as a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Mrs. Essie will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 8 at Burns Funeral Home, with Mike Wallace officiating. Interment will follow in Crossroads Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, April 7 at Burns Funeral Home of Madison. All arrangements are under the care of Burns Funeral Home in Madison.
