When students were dismissed on Friday, March 13, little did they know that moment would be the last time they would see their classmates, teachers, faculty and administrators for the 2019-2020 school year. Since Monday, March 30, students and teachers have navigated unchartered territory: distance learning. In addition to the challenge of obtaining an education via internet or printed packets, this intense time has been filled with anxiety and discomfort for many.
Despite this setback, the sun is surely rising and, together, educators and students are making it through the remainder of the year with courage and poise. These special pages are for you, students, and are filled with messages from teachers and faculty members across the district, who submitted photos with words of encouragement and love. See the Friday, May 8, issue of The Madison Enterprise-Recorder for continued messages from Greenville Elementary School, Madison Creative Arts Academy and Madison County Central School.
