FDA bans red dye no. 3

On Wednesday, Jan. 15, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) banned a popular food additive, Red Dye No.3.
Red Dye No. 3 is used to give food and drinks a bright red color. Items that commonly have Red Dye No. 3 include:
• Pez Candy Assorted Fruit,
• Dubble Bubble Original Twist Bubble Gum,
• Jelly Belly candies,
• Trolli Sour Crunchy Crawlers,
• Branch’s Candy Corn,
• Entenmann’s Little Bites Party Cake
