The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a fatality of a pedestrian that occurred on Thursday, June 11 at 5:35 a.m., on Interstate 10 near mile marker 261.
A 2011 Chevrolet Tahoe was parked and running in the westbound emergency lane of I-10. The pedestrian, who remains unidentified, was found deceased lying on the ground in front of the vehicle.
According to the report, the injuries are consistent with a motor vehicle crash. The crash is under investigation.
Trooper W.E. Harrell is the crash investigator and Corporal Carlton Yarborough is the homicide investigator.
