Flea Across Florida is set to kick off on Friday, April 11, and Saturday, April 12. Flea Across Florida begins at 8 a.m., and will feature various vendors selling their items, who set up alongside U.S. Hwy. 90, between Pensacola and Macclenny.
Flea Across Florida promotes bringing businesses back into smaller towns. Flea Across Florida was started after I-10 was built and Florida’s smaller towns struggled to bring in more business. “Flea Across Florida is for anyone that wants to earn a little bit of extra money, all while having fun doing so,” stated Terri Thomason, Flea Across Florida’s coordinator.
To help get the Flea Across Florida map ready, Thomason is asking you to email her with the street number, street name, city, county and zip code where you will set up for Flea Across Florida. Thomason had all the businesses inputed into her spreadsheet previously, however, she has currently run into some technical problems with Google maps. She looks to have the map up and running by next week.
Thomason welcomes any volunteers and has expressed a need for more Flea Across Florida county coordinators. “There used to be at least one in every county. Now there’s only three coordinators,” expressed Thomason. To become a volunteer coordinator for Flea Across Florida, please email fleaacrossfloridacoordinator@gmail.com with the county you reside in. Then, Thomason will walk you through the steps of becoming the next Flea Across Florida coordinator for your county.
To register for Flea Across Florida, please contact Thomason at fleaacrossfloridacoordinators@gmail.com or (904) 200-2273 and leave your contact information.
