The Florida High School Athletic Association has released the Class 1A football playoff bracket. It was announced at the beginning of the season that each team would have a spot in the playoffs this season and the minimum number of games played requirement from previous years would not be in place this season. The reasoning for this change was due to the late start to the season and the fact that many teams encountered difficulties in filling a full season. Playoff seedings were determined by a blind draw.
In Region Three, the Branford Buccaneers will have a bye for the week for Friday, Nov. 6. On Friday, Nov. 13, the Buccaneers will host the winner of the Ft. White vs. Hamilton County game, which will be played in Ft. White on Friday, Nov. 6. The Lafayette High Hornets will travel to Hilliard on Friday, Nov. 13 in the Region Three quarter-final. The Madison County High School Cowboys will host the Dixie County High School Bears on Friday, Nov. 13, in another Region Three quarter-final, with the winner traveling to take on the winner of the Lafayette vs. Hilliard game in the Region Three semi-final game on Friday, Nov. 20.
In Region Two, the Jefferson Somerset Tigers will have a bye for the week of Friday, Nov. 6. On Friday, Nov. 13, the Tigers will travel to face the winner of the Taylor County vs. Franklin County game.
The Class 1A State Champion will be crowned on Saturday, Dec. 12, at Gene Cox Stadium, in Tallahassee.
