Four people were transported to a South Georgia Hospital after a vehicle left a Lee roadway on Monday, Aug. 17. First responders were called to the scene of a single-vehicle accident on NE Cattail Drive, in Lee, just west of NE Cayenne Drive, around 1:48 p.m., where an older model blue Chevy Tahoe was disabled with a heavily-damaged front-end.
The SUV was traveling west on NE Cattail Drive when it left the roadway for unknown reasons and struck a large tree with the left front of the vehicle. All four occupants, including the 27-year-old male driver, were transported to South Georgia Medical Center by Madison County Fire Rescue (MCFR).
FHP responded to the scene of the incident after the occupants were transported from the scene. MCFR and MFD were assisted at the scene by the Madison County Sheriff's Office and Greenville Station 51.
