Free Timber Sale Basics workshop

Have you been approached by a logger who wants to buy your timber, but are not quite sure of their experience level or reputation? Are you planning on thinning, or harvesting your timber in the near future? Are you new to the forestry aspect of property ownership? Please join the Florida Forest Service for a workshop on “Timber Sale Basics.” This comprehensive workshop will include information on determining the right time to cut your timber, timber marking and the basics of conducting a timber sale. Reforestation cost-share opportunities will also be discussed. The workshop will be Friday, May 29 from 9 a.m. – noon at the Madison County Extension Office, located at 184 College Loop in Madison.
