Cal Ripken Baseball is a division of the Babe Ruth League of competitive baseball. The division operates under the motto of “Keeping baseball fun.” This is especially true in the crucial early stages of learning the game of baseball. Cal Ripken Baseball begins at the age of four and continues through age 12. Play begins with T-ball and slowly progresses step by step every two years. This helps youngsters build confidence as they develop and learn the fundamentals of the game.
Last year, the Babe Ruth League season was cancelled, due to the pandemic, so when it was time to “play ball” for this season, it was greeted with great joy. The local Babe Ruth League, which also includes softball for girls, has concluded play for this season.
