Gayle Elizabeth Caldwell Walker, 79, passed away peacefully at her home in Madison, Fla. on Thursday, Oct. 29, 2020 with her loving family and close friends by her side.
Gayle was born on Sept. 24, 1941, in Columbia, Tenn. She graduated from Central High School and moved to Madison following graduation. She was employed at Florida First National Bank as a teller for many years. She became a beautician and owned Gayle's Beauty Salon for several years. She was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church, the Madison Garden Club and the Madison Woman's Club.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Wayne R. Walker; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles C. Caldwell; brother, Charles Caldwell; and a sister-in- law, Nancy Hiers Walker.
She is survived by her daughter, Jayne Walker Harbin (David); granddaughters: Ashton Elizabeth Harbin and Anna Catherine Harbin (who lovingly called her Gaga); brother, Eddie Caldwell (Barbara); sisters: Patrice Barfield and Sue Hagen; a sister-in-law, Linda Latta; and a brother-in-law, Dale "Shot" Walker. She had several nieces, nephews and an adopted family who loved her dearly.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Fellowship Baptist Church on Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2020 at 11 a.m. with visitation at 10 a.m. prior to the service.
