Ret. USAF Master Sgt. George W. Daniel III, 74, a resident of Biloxi, Miss., passed away peacefully, Friday, July 29, 2022, in his home, with his wife and daughter at his side.
He was born in Madison, Fla., on June 24, 1948, the son of George Washington Daniel, and Mary Dean Williams (Step-son of W.M. Williams; Son-in-Law to Lula and Joseph Wescott,). George was blessed with 50 years of marriage to Judith Ann (Wesley) beginning, July 7, 1972.
George spent 22 years on active duty in the United States Air Force as a civil engineer and retired in 1988 with the rank of Master Sergeant. He continued his civilian career for 20 years as an Environmental Engineer at Keesler Air Force Base, before retiring in 2011. Additionally, George was a lifelong member of Prince Hall Mason, Alpha Lodge #1, Anchorage, Alaska, heavily involved in the Black’s In Government Organization, and gave to many charitable organizations, including the American Cancer Society and St. Jude’s.
George was survived in death by Judith Ann Daniel and daughter, Courtney Daniel; brothers: Wendell Williams (Sophia), of Madison, Fla., Byron Williams (Phyllis), of Nashville, Tenn., Garcia Williams, of Live Oak, Fla., George Harris (Christine), Tommie Daniel (Karen), Elijah Daniel and Ray Daniel, all of Tallahassee, Fla.; brother-in-law to Ralph and Reggie Wescott and Abraham Wesley, of Charleston, S.C.; sisters: Marion Jackson (Charlie), of Madison Fla., Lillian Martin, Charlotte Daniel Leven (John), Anette Daniel, all of Tallahassee, Pearlie Mae Barnes, of Sarasota, Fla. and Earnestine Griffin of Jacksonville, Fla.; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. George was preceded in death by his mother, father, stepfather and sister-in-law, Catherine Waring, of Charleston, S.C.
