On Tuesday, Dec. 13, Greenville Elementary School held its school spelling bee. The bee included the fourth and fifth grade classes. The competition was a tough fight for all involved.
The fifth grade competition lasted 20 rounds. The winner was J’Nariez Miller. La’Shondra Crumity was the first runner up and Ja’Niyah Mcknight was second runner up. The winning word was gourd.
The fourth grade competition lasted 16 rounds. The winner was Shamaud Lott. Hafitha Ayyad was the first runner up and Zakaria Scott was the second runner up. The winning word was mansion.
All winners and first runners up will compete at the district level on Feb. 1, 2017. Way to go Greenville!
