Stacy Lee is a third, fourth and fifth grade reading teacher at Pinetta Elementary School, and has been a teacher there for the last four years. She previously taught at Madison County Central School for four years. She spent two of those years teaching all subjects for second grade, and the other two teaching fourth grade reading. Lee also taught at Pride Elementary School in Volusia County, Fla., for two years. There, she taught all subjects to her third grade students, whom she followed up to fourth grade to teach.
Lee graduated from FAMU in 2011 with her Bachelor's degree in childhood education, and later moved on to graduate from Concordia University in 2015 with her Master's degree in childhood education. She was born and raised in Tallahasse, and moved to Madison five years ago, right around the time she married her husband, Rishardo Lee. Together, Stacy and Rishardo have three children: Owen, who is four; Asher, who is one and Dawson, who is 7 months old. Aside from being a dedicated wife and mother, Stacy enjoys reading, writing and DIY crafting in her free time.
Stacy was inspired to teach by her third grade teacher, Mrs. Hayes. She stated that she loved everything about Mrs. Hayes and her class. She also grew up in a family of educators. On both her mom’s and dad's side, most of the women were involved in education. Stacy's mom taught Pre-K for 20 years, specializing in early childhood development. Her grandmother taught special ed, and her aunts were also involved in education.
Pinetta Elementary received a B grade for the 2020/2021 school year, and Stacy states that the school is very proud, considering it was a hard year with the start of the pandemic. Most, if not all, students had to be taught from home. Virtual learning is no easy feat. “I am very excited that our kiddos were able to persevere through a pandemic and receive a B for the school,” she exclaimed.
