The God and Country Festival, which will take place on Monday, July 4, is an event that is put on each year by the Madison County Lions Club. Proceeds from the event help funds the civic group throughout the rest of the year in matters of vision testing and other community-minded projects.
While a selection of vendors has signed up for spots during the festival, there are still many openings for local vendors to sell their wares.
A 12-foot by 12-foot vendor spot is purchasable for $35 and a 12-foot by 24-foot vendor spot will cost $65.
All vendor types are accepted; food, homemade goods or antique vendors are all invited to pay to set up and sell their wares along the banks of Lake Frances during the God and Country festival.
Local candidates that are running for local offices, be it school superintendent or clerk of the court, must purchase vendor space if they plan on passing out pamphlets or flyers for the upcoming election. Even if the vendor spot is not used and the local candidate just wishes to walk around the festival, the spot must be paid for.
Vendor spots can be purchased until the day of the event.
Interested parties can call Lions member Tim Dunn at (850) 464-4890 with questions or to purchase a vendor spot during the festival.
