Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 251 along with the Greenville Steering Committee welcome everyone to their annual Veterans Day events. The VFW Greenville Planning Committee has dedicated a large amount of time and resources to provide activities that will connect the military services with the Greenville community and local school system.
The first event, which will be held on Thursday, Nov. 9, will be the annual program in honor of veterans across the United States. The event will take place at 1:30 p.m. in the Greenville Elementary School's gymnasium. All veterans are asked to attend wearing a military hat or uniform.
The second veterans event will be held on Friday, Nov. 10 at 6:30 p.m. This event will be a VFW banquet, which will take place at the Greenville Elementary School's cafeteria. A donation of $85 for a table of eight or a donation of $15 for an individual ticket is asked in recognition of the veterans at the banquet. A delicious meal will be served along with entertainment.
The VFW annual program and luncheon will take place on Veterans Day, which is Saturday, Nov. 11 at 10 a.m. The event will be held at Haffye Hayes Park with lunch immediately following the program. All veterans are once again asked to attend.
All monetary donations can be forwarded to Greenville Veterans Planning Committee, Farmer's & Merchant Bank, 220 E. Washington Street, Monticello, Fl. 32344. Other donations can be forwarded to Ulyssees Roberson, 446 NW Parrot Trail, Greenville, Fl. 32331. All monetary donations are tax deductible.
