On Friday, Sept. 29, an “emergency” meeting of the Greenville Town Council was called. The stated purpose of this meeting was to “codify” the votes taken at the Monday, Sept. 25, meeting of the council. During that meeting, a vote was taken to adopt the town’s budget and millage rate. However, the decision was not put in the form of a resolution or ordinance, as required. This is what prompted the emergency meeting on Friday, Sept. 29.
