Have you ever had a stubborn stain that just would not come out? Here are some hacks to use if you find your favorite shirt has a new stain.
• Baby stains: sprinkle with borax and soak in cold water before laundering.
• Blood: hydrogen peroxide, then rinse with cold water.
• Chocolate: rinse in cold water, then use dish soap or hydrogen peroxide.
• Coffee: use white vinegar and cold water, then color-safe bleach.
• Crayon: iron between two paper towels, spray with WD-40 and wash as usual.
• Grass: scrub with rubbing alcohol, let air dry then pretreat with karo syrup.
• Grease: rub with chalk, then scrub with dish soap, then rinse in hot water.
• Gum: freeze with ice, then scrape with knife then wash in normal cycle.
• Ink: use rubbing alcohol or hairspray, then wash in cold water.
• Juice: scrub with white vinegar and dish washing liquid, then wash in cold water.
• Lipstick: scrape off excess, then rub with mineral oil, followed by diluted ammonia.
• Sweat: scrub with shampoo, then baking soda and vinegar, then soak in salt water.
It is advised to treat stains as soon as possible.
