Helen Jean Masemore, 82, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 9, in Live Oak. Helen was born Feb. 26, 1935, in Berks County, Pa., to Henry Jacob Lutz and Lillie Irene (Berger) Lutz.
Masemore was of the independent faith and was a member of Grace Brethren Church in Myerstown, Pa. She worked as an insurance agent for six years and enjoyed reading and gardening in her spare time. Helen also loved to paint and worked at an art gallery for years.
Helen was preceded in death by her father, Henry Jacob Lutz; mother, Lillie Irene (Berger) Lutz; six brothers: Warren Lutz, Ralph Lutz, Lester Lutz, Donald Lutz, Calvin Lutz and Allen Lutz; and sister, Mildred Dove.
She is survived by her husband of 41 years, John Masemore; her children: Rock, Jackie, Crystal, Scott, Sheila and Marsha; her stepchildren: Delean, Gary, Christina and Kelly; sister, Ruth Mae Summy; 12 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
No services will be held at this time. All arrangements are under the direction of Burns Funeral Home of Madison.
