Henri Eleanor (Andrews) Tuten, 94, passed away on June 2, in Madison.
Henri was born on February 1, 1922 in Monticello, to Zachary Andrews and Willie Gayle Andrews.
Henri was of the Baptist faith and was a member of New Home Baptist Church in Madison. Henri worked for the Madison County School System, where she was a cook in the cafeteria for 28 years.
Henri was preceded in death by her parents, Zachary Andrews and Willie Gayle Andrews. She was also predeceased by her husband of 56 years, Gussie Tuten.
Mrs. Tuten is survived by three sons: Donnie Tuten, Mickey (Sandra) Tuten, and Timmy (Lisa) Tuten, all of Madison; one daughter, Linda (Phillip) Howell, of Madison and one sister, Inez Cone, of St. Simons, Ga.
She is also survived by eight grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, June 4 at 2 p.m. at New Home Baptist Church with Rev. Gene Stokes and Tom Ray Kelley officiating.
Interment services followed immediately afterwards at San Pedro Cemetery, Madison County. The family received friends from 1 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. on Saturday, June 4, at New Home Baptist Church.
All arrangements were under the direction of Burns Funeral Home of Madison.
