North Florida Community College networked with area high school guidance counselors and school district representatives during the Guidance/Dual Enrollment Summit held at NFCC on Friday, Oct. 16. The meeting allowed participants to connect and share valuable information and ideas. High school and school district representatives from across the NFCC service district – Hamilton, Jefferson, Lafayette, Madison, Suwannee and Taylor counties – were in attendance including guidance counselors from area public and private schools. Topics focused on admissions and registration, academic support, financial aid, scholarships, student disability services, meta majors, dual enrollment and programs of study. “It is great to get together and bounce ideas off one another,” said Kay Hogan, Dean of Enrollment and Student Services at NFCC. “We appreciate the guidance counselors. They all do an excellent job and NFCC values the relationship we have with our area high schools and private schools.”
