Madison Fire Rescue responded to a structure fire at 365 NW Digger Wasp Trail on Saturday, April 18 around 6:15 p.m. No one was home at the time; a neighbor saw the smoke and called 911. According to Fire Chief Bruce Jordan the cause of the fire is undetermined but appears to be accidental. The house has extensive smoke and heat damage. The fire damage is mainly in the center of the home. Madison Fire Rescue was assisted by Cherry Lake Volunteer Fire Department, Hamburg Volunteer Fire Department, Madison County Sheriff’s Office, Madison County E.M.S. and Red Cross.
