Ichetucknee Springs State Park is officially open for tubing at certain locations as of Wednesday, June 10, from 8 a.m. to sunset.
Although tubing is open, Blue Hole, the cave system where visitors can dive, the education center and other buildings remain closed. Tram, shuttle services and tube rentals are available on a limited basis. Visitors can bring tubes, canoes or kayaks and utilize hiking trails.
The Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) has set specific guidelines in place to ensure the protection of staff and the public. All visitors are expected to practice social distancing and limit group size to 50 people or less. To reduce risk, cash transactions for park admission are limited to exact change.
Ichetucknee Springs State Park is located at 12087 SW U.S. Hwy. 27, in Fort White, Fla., and costs six dollars per vehicle to enter.
