Ila Belle Williams Bell, 84, of Lee, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, took her final journey on Friday, July 17, 2020, surrounded by her loving family after an extended illness. She was born Aug. 2, 1935.
She was predeceased by her parents: Herman and Osie Sullivan Williams, of Lee, Fla.; and six deceased siblings.
She is survived by her husband, James Article Bell. They were married 65 years; one son, James Edward Bell, of Lee; two daughters: Deborah Szostek (Kenneth), of Chattanooga, Tenn.; and Cynthis (Reese) Thomas of Lee, Fla.; two sisters: Osie O'steen and Candy Moore; and six grandchildren: Kenneth Szodtek, Jr. Chad Thomas (Stacey), Jamie Thomas (Stephanie), Timothy Szostek, Scott Thomas (Deceased) and Tiffany Johnson (Greg); six great-grandchildren along with many nieces and nephews.
She was a member of Lee First Baptist Church. She loved her family, travel and had many collections dear to her. During her marriage, she served as a Military wife and she traveled all over and occasionally worked outside the home until her return to Lee, at which time she worked at Advent Christian Village for 23 years until her retirement.
