Irma Cone Sharp was born November 21, 1935 to Thomas and Vivian Cone in Greenville. She was a graduate of Greenville High School and received her Bachelor of Science degree from Florida State University.
Irma married William E. Sharp on June 25, 1960. Together they would have one daughter, Emma. William and Irma moved to Eustis, Fl. in August of 1967. She was a teacher of business at Eustis High School. Irma was a devout member of First Missionary Baptist Church where she served as treasurer and part-time pianist until the onset of her illness. She enjoyed cooking, bowling and attending church. Most of all, she was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
Irma is preceded in death by her father, Thomas Cone; mother, Vivian Cone; sister, Pearl Dean Hubbard and brother, Thomas Cone, Jr.
She leaves behind her husband of 55 years, William E. Sharp; daughter, Emma; grandchildren: Emily Morency (Shawn), Bo Dempsey (Jessica) and Lauren Dempsey and great-grandchildren: Emelia, Peter IV and Lucas.
The viewing is to be held Saturday, March 5 at 10 a.m. with services to follow at 11 a.m.
The service will be held at Beggs Funeral home in Madison with graveside service to follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Greenville. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be sent to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America.
