On Thursday, May 27, 2020, the Board of County Commissioners of Madison County, signed a proclamation declaring that Tuesday, June 1 through Saturday, June 5 to be “Code Enforcement Officers Week.” The board made this decision based on numerous facts presented.
Code Enforcement Officers are often overlooked and left thankless. They provide services to the community daily by encouraging safety, health and welfare, while also enforcing county ordinances. They play a critical role in improving the community and their work often goes unseen and unheard, despite their hard work and dedication to the job. Furthermore, these individuals are highly trained and take their jobs very seriously. They are a department rooted in pride and dedication to their communities.
For the above listed reasons, the Florida Association of Code Enforcement (F.A.C.E.) has declared the first week of June to be set aside to honor, thank and recognize the valiant efforts and dedication of Florida's code enforcement officers.
So, on this first week of June, spread some appreciation to the local Madison County Code Enforcement Officer, Gloria Randall, who has served the community in her current position since 2005.
