Mr. James Alfred Nichols, age 92, passed away on Saturday, June 13, 2020, in Madison, Fla. He was born on July 25, 1927, in Jesup, Ga. to Jack and Alice Robinson Nichols.
He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his loving wife of sixty-eight years, Christine Nichols, of Lee, Fla.; two sons, Kenneth Nichols (Jeneane), of North Fort Myers, Fla., and Mike Nichols (Esther) of Coker Creek, Tenn.; one daughter, Cathy Reynolds, of Cape Coral, Fla.; one sister, Jean Hope, of Jesup, Ga.; ten grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
He resided in North Fort Myers, Fla., from 1954 until retirement at age 58. He diligently served the Lord and was active in Faith Tabernacle Assembly of God Church and served as a deacon and in many other church activities until relocating to Lee, Fla. He then became a member of Lee First Baptist Church. He served the Lord as a minister and deacon.
He served in the Merchant Marines and U.S. Army and was employed by and retired from the Lee County Mosquito Control as Superintendent in Charge.
He traveled extensively with his wife and family and loved creating memories. He enjoyed life on the farm, and his animals were his pets.
