James W. Carter, Sr., age 61, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 2, 2021 in Pompano Beach, Fla. He was born June 16, 1959 in Boynton Beach, Fla.
He was a former Cub Scout and had achieved the level of Eagle Scout. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family and friends. He loved playing with his grandchildren. He would help any and everyone who required his assistance. He had a kind and good heart.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Kim Naumann Carter; two sons: James W. Carter, Jr. (Kasey) and Robert L. Carter(Gina); one daughter, Jessica L. Carter; his mother, Lila L. Webb; two sisters: Mary Cathleen Griggs and Helen Marie Webb (Ted); step-sister, April Miller; step-brother, Thomas Bolas (Anu); his mother-in-law, Audrey Naumann; four grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his father, Louis L. Carter; three brothers: Thomas Edward Carter, Louis L. Carter, Jr. and John Allen Carter; and his step-father, (Pops) Lavalle Webb.
There will be a graveside service at Cherry Lake Baptist Church on Saturday, Jan. 23, 2021 at 2 p.m.
