Janet Delorice Houston Bellamy, 62, of Lamont, Fl., passed in Tallahassee surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, February 10. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 21 at the Old Jefferson County High School Auditorium, with burial in Mt. Morilla Cemetery. Viewing-visitation is 3-7 p.m. on Friday, February 20 at Tillman of Monticello, (850) 997-5553. A Jefferson County native, she was an Employment Security Representative with the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity, after having previously retired with 35 years of service. A 1969 Greenville Training School graduate, she was a cum laude graduate of Florida A&M University in Business Education. She was a Mt. Morilla deaconess and member of the Sons and Daughters of Joshua, Dixon Lodge #22 and the Order of Eastern Star, Daughters of Deborah, Chapter 60. Cherishing her love and sweet memories are her husband of 44 years, Ulysses Bellamy; three daughters: Tonya (Allen) Davis, Yulonda (Bernard) Cooper and Janessa (Micheal) Crawford; son, Ulysses II (Christi) Bellamy; father, James (Lillie Mae) Houston; 13 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brothers: William, Joseph, Michael and Anthony (Cassandra) McIntosh, Zackary, Holland, Eric and Troy Houston; sisters: Elaine, Vivian and Sylvia McIntosh and Teva Moore; a very special aunt, Delia McIntosh; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Her mother, Sarah Bell Mathis McIntosh preceded her in death.
