Jasper Cecil (J. C.) Williamson, age 66, passed away on Saturday, March 18, 2017 at his home in Lee. Graveside services were held Monday, Mar. 20, at 11 a.m. at Midway Baptist Church Cemetery.
Jasper was born in Madison on May 23, 1950, to Cecil and Edna Hamrick Williamson. He is survived by his children: Nichole (Russell) Underwood of Madison, Jessica (Jody) Tompkins of Pinetta, and Jay (Chris) Williamson of Lee; one sister: Rebecca Wimberly of Mayo, three grandchildren: Sadie, Russell and Joseph; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
He worked for the Madison County School Board as a bus inspector for 28 years before his retirement. He previously worked as a mechanic at Cantey Motor Company.
Jasper was a outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish.
He was predeceased in death by his wife of 37 years, Judy Mae Faircloth Williamson, his parents, Cecil and Edna Williamson, one brother, Frank Williamson, and nephew, Keith Williamson.
